HAPPY "FRIENDSHIP" TUESDAY

Meow Morning.

Each Tuesday it is my wish, my commitment to share a little bit of happiness with you.

I woke up.  A little food was there to fill my empty tummy.  Fresh water.  All reasons to be happy.

Now I sit in comfort, watching the world below wake up and begin a new day.

Feeling a breeze on my furs and warmth of the rising sun on me.

Both reasons to be happy.

Happiness is always there, in the most simple and everyday things of life.

And I'd like to share a quote mine Mommy found ~

Now, I'm allowing for a short "mine Mommy" note ...

Today is International Friendship Day.  June and I are thankful for all of you,

so many of you who are truly are friends, far and near,

you who make us ... happy!

And thanks to all who have pawed forward to be part of our 

August Special Event which begins in just another day or two.  We've been

busy working on pictures for all of you, some finished,

many yet to be done (so sorry, it's not allowed for much time to visit and comment).

We hope you'll come by during this event, to visit the "friends you know",

and maybe make "new friends" ...

 

WORDY WEDNESDAY

Every furry knows I love being in my blankie basket!

So where are all my blankies?

Mine Mommy decided they all need a-wash-up and of course,

I just had to check out the basket sans blankies.

Not bad.  Not good either.

No matter which way I got into it I really didn't like it so much.

Purrty soon though my blankies will be back, all soft and fresh and clean

and I can get my furs all over them again

and all will be right with my world!

Meanwhile, just to let you know, me and mine Mommy will be

taking off the next week... I'm going to help her get all our furriends

ready for the August Special Event.  I'm really excited that many kitties

and woofies will be coming to visit during August, and we both

want to be sure we do our very best for each and every one of them.

So ... meow for now, we'll be back in August ...

maybe my blankies will be back by then too!

MONDAY BREAKFAST

Well, OK, maybe cookies for breakfast isn't the best thing,

(is it OK once in awhile?)

Mostly I just wanted to remind my furriends about my 

AUGUST SPECIAL EVENT.

Over half the days of the month have already been filled up

which I'm so excited about (thank you all)

so if you're interested please let me know soon!

MOVING DAY

You'd think in our tiny apartment ~ with her stuff ~ with my stuff (and I have a lot of stuff, more than she does) ~ and with it all together in one very small room, there wouldn't be too too many ways one could arrange it all.  But no.  Mine Mommy, it seems, likes change ~ and even though we've just been here barely four years, she has found at least a bazillion ways to arrange and rearrange her/my/our stuff.  And she does it a lot!

Now, once upon a time this would really make my furs fly.  It was not at all fun to have my blankie basket in a different place when I had got accustomed to tucking myself in. And my toy box ~ well, OMC, first here, then there! Where to find that fave mouse? The scratcher boxes?  Well, of course I'm going to scratch on whatever is nearby if'n I can't find even one of my four scratcher boxes, what's a kitty girl to do?

But, all this intro is leading up to last weeks moving day!  That day when she was up while it was still dark out, fully caffeinated and started in to put this here and that there and well, it turned out, yes ~ I must admit, albeit grudgingly ~ I was thrilled, over (or up to the top) meowingly happy!  

Let me share.  I have a lovely big tri-level cat tree.  It was a gift from my Auntie Dee, once a favorite tree of Angel TK and Angel Pip and my sisfur, Angel Zoey.  It arrived here almost a year ago and mine Mommy put it in a corner.  I checked it out, briefly, but that was that.  After some time, she moved it to another corner.  Interesting, so I checked it out yet again. But again, that was that, I chose not to use it: not the 1st floor, the 2nd floor, not even that high up 3rd floor with a good view of all that was going on!

But, on that amazing and auspicious day last week, mine Mommy decided to move the cat tree one more time ~ and no words are needed ~ I think you can readily see from the photos that it has found its home.  It is where it belongs and I belongs in it! This moving day has been purrfectly purrfect every night, every day!

I CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY TODAY

I'm happy today.

It's what I chose when I first woke up.

Neither me, nor mine Mommy can remember the quote, or who said it, 

but it was something about it being "your choice ~ making your own choice to be happy,

or sad, or angry or upset, or down in the dumps ...".

Now, I've never been to the "dumps" (for which I'm thankful, it doesn't sound like a very

nice place to go), but there are days when I can feel sad, like when mine Mommy has lots and lots

of stuff to do and she's gone for a long time and I kinda-sorta wonder if she's ever coming

back.  And there are times when I get a little angry too, like if my meal time isn't on time,

I know that really really upsets me ~ I mean some purrson has to open those cans!

And OMC, can my fur fly if'n a fave mouse, spring toy, or even one of my

polka dots disappear under that big ice box thing!

But I have figured out, though it has taken awhile to do so,

that my insides feel better, and my outsides work better,

if I wake up and tell myself "I'm happy today".

I won't let these silly little things bother me.

Oh no.  

Oh yes, I choose to be happy today.
