FELINE FRIDAY

I'm glad that this rounder is right here by our little kitchen.
I can keep an eye on what mine Mommy is up to ~
maybe filling a food bowl for me,
maybe getting my treat box out of the cupboard.

Then again, maybe not.
Sometimes she is just washing up the dishes.
So, yes ~ sometimes I see something I could care less about.

A kitty (or a pupster for that matter)
never knows what exciting things might be going on in the kitchen!

SUNDAY SELFIE PLUS

SUNDAY SELFIE and ANSWER YOUR CAT'S QUESTIONS DAY

Are you ready, mine Mommy? I only have a few ...
Of course dear.

1.  I always did want to know why JuneToo never used the litter-loo box?
I will have to ponder that and get back to you.

2.  Is it really necessary that you leave, go shopping
and so miss providing my lunch at the appointed time?
You do that a lot, you know.
Let me think on that awhile, I promise to get back to you with an answer.

3.  I am really not satisfied with three meals a day and temptation
snacks in the evening.  Can we up the food offerings considerably please?
No.

4.  Why not?
No.  That's my answer.

5.  But maybe you can ponder that and get back to me?  Or think
on it awhile and come up with a different answer?
No.

As you can see, getting her to answer my questions on point was far from successful.  I felt like I was holding a hearing in the hallowed halls of Congress where no one answers questions in a straightforward or honest manner.  Why even have this day, meow.

A NOT-TOO-THANKFUL THURSDAY

~ a little follow up with our kitty korner catty cat of yesterday ~

As I continued to photograph "the cat in the corner" she began to perform her normal
routine of a "post breakfast bath".  I suspect the corner provided very good back support,
especially for holding up and cleaning those hard to reach back paws.

"belly looks good, think I've covered all else, good job, if I do say so myself"

"what the ... she's been photographing my private moments all this time,
and today is Thankful Thursday?"

"So sorry, my dear friend Brian.  I will join the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop,
but in all honesty, I am not thankful that these rather embarrassing pictures are
being published today.  I mean, c'mon, how would you feel about it?"

THANKFUL THURSDAY

I like to tell secrets, so don't ever tell me yours, as it won't be a secret for long.  Meow.  When I first came to live here, I thought I'd been adopted by a crazy lady [well, that's still true].  Weekly, from some hidden place, she would get out Mr Dyson and Miss Swiffer Duster to perform the OCD thing.  OCD is the obnoxious cleaning disturbance of my otherwise peaceful home.  While performing this, she also has a compulsive need to move things from one place to another, from here to there.  Friends, this created a great deal of stress, anxiety and dismay for this little cat: my fave scratcher, once in front of the TV, now by the window.  Sigh.  My toy box, by the chair.  Not there!  Thank Cod, the springs are still on the window ledge.  And, ohmycat, the litter loo has NOT moved.

But here's the thing, I am a cat who likes challenges.

And guess what?  As time has passed, although I still do not enjoy the weekly noise and disturbance of Mr D and Miss SD, I have come to look forward to the challenge of the hunt, the search, the game of hide-and-seek.  It becomes a whole new life and what fun it is.  Something I hadn't noticed before is all new!  I did like sitting in this basket before, but now it is in a place with a better view and I love it more!  And something I hadn't bothered to investigate previously, now I will do so.  Excitement awaits at every turn.  And so I guess I am thankful for my crazy lady mommy who makes my days interesting and challenging and never boring.

But, please don't move my foodz bowl, meow.

MONDAY

Apparently many people have this opinion of Mondays.
It matters not to me as one day is much the same as another.

November 22, 2021

AWWW MONDAY

Can't really say if these pictures are "awww-worthy" or not.  After all they are merely pictures of an ordinary cat doing everyday ordinary cat stuff.  Our photo files overflow with ordinary cat photos such as these and from time to time the best way to "dispose" of them is simply to post to the blog!

"Hey, meow ... wait just a minute now!  An ordinary cat!  Really, seriously?  Ordinary I am not!  How about extraordinary - unique - special - amazing - one of a kind?  Use a thesaurus maybe!  I will freely admit to doing ordinary stuff on occasion, why not ... we all do, even you!  And disposing of photos of me?  We really need to sit down and talk ... "

Sorry, June.  I misspoke. But I hit the publish button too quickly, so like all the pawliticians I will have to offer a retraction, or say "I never said that" on another day, even though my comments now stand in the public arena forever and ever.

Moving on, and speaking of comments ~ your pictures are "numbered" should any care to caption one or t'other, or comment only on that picture!  We do reserve that last picture (No. 6) only for BEAU, wanting to show that great big lover dog that you, too ... gots an "orange thang"!  On to one more impawtent thing:  Are we forgiven?

"Hmmffpp, meow, I will need to ponder that."

BEHIND THE SCENES: Fiction vs Fact

Behind The Scenes

We never watch the award-ing shows anymore, I mean my humom doesn't, she hasn't seen any of the movies or popular TV shows, so it doesn't matter too much.  But it was always a bit upsetting that so many awards for so many behind-the-scenes people were given earlier ~ at a so-called offsite event, on another day, another time and place!  Like they didn't matter as much!

Well, I'm like that, that's me!  Did you know I'm behind the scenes, doing most of the Zoolatry blog work?  I'm script consultant but more often screenwriter!  I'm producer, and I do set design, make-up and costumes.  And believe this: I do all my own stunts!  I even go to the canteen to get snax for all the crew, though have noticed some don't like my tuna or salmon crunchy bites.  But seriously, I do do it all, behind the scenes ...

SEE . . .

1.  behind the monitor I can observe the camera crew,
the assistants, the best boys, the lighting techs  . . .
2.  and my clawed-paw is there at the ready, to
signal a bad take (photoshop crashing!) . . .
3.  my ears are delicately attuned to all that is happening
on set, after all we are PG rated (the humom sometimes
speaks in @*^&* words at this computer). . .
4.  the end of me and tail are there to swish my discontent
should any actors forget their lines . . .
5.  though I do paws for a break when our fave beach photo
pops up on the slide show . . .
6.  so: they best not send me offsite, on another day, to another place
when it's time for my awards (and I anticipate many!!!) . . .

June, June, June.  I've no idea why you posted this today.  Your "script" here is total fiction ~ and you were supposed to do a fact-based documentary!  Sigh.  All this play-acting for sympathy.  Ha!  You are before the camera ~ the star of the show ~ name at the top of the marquee and first when credits roll ~ day in and day out!  Now you're just acting like a little prima donna.  Typical Hollywood behavior we think.  We may just have to take away your SAG privileges for a few days ... get your act together, girl ... (pun intended)

AWWW MONDAY

AWWW
I have been sitting here pondering this word "awww".
Mom says I'm awww-some.
I think that most of the time she is awww-some
[except when I misbehave and she is unhappy with me].

A slang word for awww-some is "cool".
I like to think I'm "cool" too, a cool cat!

[MAD] on MONDAY

About this picture. I've just finished my breakfast, it was good, it was grilled salmon in gravy.  Many humans might turn their noses up at having that at 5:00 a.m., but c'mon, it's really delish!

But back to this picture: while I have breakfast, Mom sits at the table, sipping her coffee.  I'm always done with breakfast way before she's done with her coffee!

So here I wait, under her chair.  Ever so patiently, until her coffee turns cold ... then we can have a little cuddle time, some play together and she'll turn on her computer and I'll start my morning nap!

So, why the [MAD] Monday?  Well, it's the computer thing, and it's the first of June, and she has this thing about putting up a new header on our blog every month.  It's just her thing, cause she likes to design them.  But Mr Google Blogspot made changes yet again [it made her MAD] and it seems like now if you want to change your header, it automatically sizes to fit on a cell phone!  At least that's what it seems to do.  To make it fit on your blog, you have to do all kinds of fancy-schmancy things in HTML code.   For my Mom that's a big deal cause she has hand tremors and arthritis in her fingers and poor close-up eyesight on top of that!  Of course, she's older than dirt, too.  So even though she's blogged for like a gazillion years and through many, many changes, it always upsets her.  And today she is the [MAD] woman.  And she doesn't like working in HTML code.  You can't mess up when you work in code.  It's harder than photoshop.

I wonder if her being [MAD] means I won't get cuddle or play time this morning?

Anyway, if our bloggie goes dark for a few days ... sorry ... it's cause she thinks we'll go offline, she'll back up (I hope she doesn't bump into me when she backs up) and see if we can work it out.  Sigh.  Oh dear.

Maybe she'll get over being [MAD].  Maybe I need to go hide in the closet.  I hope she doesn't get [MADDER] and forget my supper!

PS
SEE, SHE IS SO [MAD]
SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW
IT WAS TUESDAY!

HAPPY TUESDAY ~ PURR-HAPS?

High atop my polka-dot chair I look over at the calendar on our refrigerator.
Tuesday, March 30.  10:30 a.m.
CAT Scan.
Should I be happy?  Or not?
I find this to be a conundrum.

However, it is
HAPPY TUESDAY

AWWW MONDAY

I am such a good girl.  Mom has this big basket and it's filled with extra blankies and throws.  At night time it gets filled up with the pretty pillows from the day bed.  But she is not happy when she sees me scratching on it.  So I simply stopped scratching it!  Cause I'm a one-year old now, and when you're a grown up girl you're expected to behave better.  That's being good, isn't it!  Awww, so good!

MONDAY THOUGHTS

Early in the morning is quiet time, thinking time.  And looking out the window, waiting for sunrise,
hearing the church bells, I think how wonderful it would be if we didn't have to say farewell
to family and friends.  I'm only ten months old and have already said farewell too many times, it is sad.
But I am told that there is a "time for everything" and this time must come too.
Today we remember friends who crossed their Rainbow Bridge
just last month, please let us all pause and say farewell.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

My Mom took this photo of me recently and she said, "June, you look so grown up", and
I said, "Mommy it's only about 7 weeks now until my birthday, and I'll be one year old".
And she said, "oh my good gracious!"
Does that mean the same thing as 'you're getting lots of birthday presents'?

A FEW WORDS FOR WEDNESDAY

Sometimes I listen with one ear.
Sometimes I listen with two ears.
Many times I do not listen at all.

For instance when I am napping.
But also when I am awake.
It's my prerogative. I am a cat.
