On Friday, July 8, we began a series called VIEWING JUNE. Todays post, Viewing June, 24 is the last in this series. These images posted over the past 24-days were all old photos, pulled from our files and mostly my favorite ones. We had assembled them as best we could into "similar categories". Just over two years old now, June tends to be an active and photogenic cat. However, the confines of our small apartment mean I have to get a little imaginative with her from time to time to makes things "interesting" ~ for her, and to share with you!
This series came about to give me some personal time away from new posting, blogging new every day, time to focus on other things that needed attention in my life (so we did not visit or comment on other blogs as often, sorry) and it was a good and needed break, but still a fun way to stay "out here". Sure hope we didn't bore you with all the old stuff!
Mentioned above, our studio is small: one room, with a day bed, two chairs, a couple of chairs at the little table for eating which also serves as our computer work area. Early on, June took over the polka dot chair, claimed it as hers! Oh, of course, she will sit, lay anywhere/everywhere else when the mood strikes. You will find her atop cabinets (or in them), in the bathtub, under whatever she can get under, or behind. As small as this place is, she finds places to hide. Don't most kitties? But her chair, she always returns to her chair. So it was only natural that she became the Polka Dot Kitty. And so it is natural to end this series with the . . .
Today we all celebrate National Mutt Day.
And there is no better choice than our sweet friend MISS MACKEY as our mascot for this day.
Mutts! Mixed breeds! Forty-Nine Flavors! Whatever you may call these woofies,
they are the best of the best, and when you are looking to rescue or to adopt,
consider the friendship of a mutt, you'll have a friend forever to be sure.
Tomorrow begins a new month, August: the dog days of summer!
And the way it's been 'round the USofA and most of the planet, it is also
the cat days of summer! Hot and hotter. But be sure to check out
where all the "cool events and badges" for August
will be posted tomorrow. You'll see some of your pet friends there,
and we hope you'll be joining in the fun of these events!
And remember, if you'd like to volunteer to sponsor future events, just
email me, thanks!
Zoolatry will be back later this week, see you in a few days.
