Zoey ~ Big and Small ~ Today and Yesterday
A blue point Himalayan (they are part Persian and part Siamese by heritage) . . . and though
thankful for her long and floofy fur it has to be noted that she was not fond of brushing.
Oh, you could brush her back ... perhaps even get away (albeit briefly) under her chinny-chin-chin,
maybe a swipe or two along that big tail! But really, get at the mats that formed under her neck,
under her legs, on her sweet belly: NEVER. So the time would come for a spa visit.
A spa visit usually meant a "lion cut" (I did not much like that look) but it seemed
the common and preferred way of grooming.
Zoey, one might think she was a big girl ~ not so, for most her life,
just a wisp of a little thing, all of seven-pounds beneath all that fur!
My Song by Zoey
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly, I'm not half the cat I used to be.
There's no floofness hanging over me, oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why it had to go, I don't know - they wouldn't say.
I don't understand - and I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, how I so loved to run and play,
now I need a place to hide away,
yes, I believe in yesterday.
and with sincere apawlogies to John, Paul, George and Ringo
Zoey is sharing her purrsonal
version of one of the most beautiful songs ever written . . .
It's Thankful Thursday and we were,
for 14 years
Thankful for Zoey!
