I recommend this one ...

I mean, do we not all find it difficult to understand our human-purrsons?  

They do speak and act very odd at times.

I'm hopeful this will give me some insight into mine,

now where did I put my reading glasses ...

The image posted with this poem is of my wonderful father-in-law with my young son, photographed as they were fishing the waters of Sykes Creek, Merritt Island, Florida, c.1978/1979.  There is a sad truth in this poem that speaks more strongly with each new generation and has cultural overtones as well.  A small part of this truth has legitimacy as society has evolved, a larger part is unacceptable and there is still time to address and change that part ~ it should not be lost, for there is so much value to discover when one listens to the words from the past. It is called wisdom.

A SUNDAY SELFIE ~ REALLY?

I think, fur real, I should have been holding the camera.  Yes. 
I should have been the one taking a selfie of her, that rather strange woman (sometimes called mine Mommy) 
who stuck her head (her body wouldn't fit) into my rounder to take this so-called selfie of me.  
What she won't do for a picture ... sigh.

SUNDAY SELFIE ~ DRESS FOR SUCCESS

It's DRESS UP YOUR PET DAY ~ and it's kinda sorta bitter-cold (or snowy rainy windy cloudy) just about everywhere, too!  And if'n you also happens to be a footsball fan (which me 'n mine Mommy are), well, there's lots of that going on yessersday, today, tomorrow and yet to come.  Wow!  Of course, our team is on rest this weekend, but that doesn't mean we can't root for some of the others ... and support our furriends!  

Without offense to any gotta give a big paws up to the Detroit Lions (who will meet up with the LA Rams), after all, a wholabunch of you out there are in the Mitten State and are our furriends! When it comes to the Green Bay Packers vs the Dallas Cowboys, we'll have to sit on the sidelines cause we'd toss a coin for either on this one, with friends north and south.

But back to the cold.  After all it is SUNDAY SELFIE time over at The Cat On My Head, right?  And I'm bundled up against that snow 'n' cold that is on the way, while supporting my team ~ Number One in the NFL right now by the way ~ the Baltimore RAVENS, whose next time on the field will be a divisional match up against the winner of tomorrows Bills vs Steelers game.

A BLANKIE-BASKET SELFIE

Back in my basket again!  After months of ignoring her blankie-basket, June hopped into and curled up in it the other day, and has done so every day since.  Seems this little kitty-girl knows her change of seasons, and considers the basket and her Auntie Ellen's soft and cozy polka dot blankie her choice for fall into winter.  Good choice, June!  And it makes for a sweet selfie, too.

SUNDAY SELFIES ~ from the COSTUME CLOSET

My friends, Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley [woof, woof, visit them here] happened to mention that I "didn't do costumes" ~ but, oh, I do ... I do.  Or let's say mine Mommy makes me do costumes.  So yesterday, she says "time to check your costume closet, choose what you'll wear for Meow-O-Ween".  
But, here's the thing, key word being 'do'. Never, and I do mean NEVER will I allow any article of clothing to touch my furs so these costumes, ears-to-paw, are only make believe, pretend, imaginary ... just the same, with Meow-O-Ween only a few treats away, I invite you on a tour of my Costume Closet, will you help me choose what to be, what to wear ...

Morticia, Gomez ... favorites WEDNESDAY and KITTY KAT, too!

I could be a Li'l Devil, or a Witchy Witch,

maybe Velma with Scooby Doo!

I do love Raggedy Ann, so very special, she really was.

And yes, I loved my sparkling golden ears,

and I did briefly appear as Barbie to very loud applause!

We can't forget cute Baby Yoda,

whose real name is Grogu.

Just wondering is it paws up or paws down for

Bob Ross,

Woody,

or Toad

and which one would you choose if it was you?

What to do, who to be,

it's a dilemma for me.

But if you can stop by tomorrow, my choice I promise you'll see ...

it sure does make my day a whole lot nicer."  Have a nice Sunday. 

HALF A SUNDAY SELFIE

June says, "finally, I get my blog back, for just a day mind you, and this is the

best you can do?  I mean you've really been obsessed with this alphabet thing all month long."

The Mom says, "well, my kitty girl, you might have cooperated a bit more, it was your day to shine.  

From my point of view, there are times it can be hard to get a good photo of your cat or your dog, 

and for todays Sunday Selfie I've had to settle for some half-a-cat pictures."

I am a very, very smart kitty.  
When mine Mommy said it was time to pose for my Sunday Selfie this week, 
I knew if I posed sitting on top of my polka dot chair 
she would have all the "grand" things in her life all in one photo!  
And of course, I am one of those grand things ...
