PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

Mine Mommy didn't get 'round to doing her usual Caturday Art for this week, and I hadn't done a "pick-a-pic" in a really long time, so she said "okay, you can take over, paw through your files and choose a few".

Now, I'm not old as dirt like she is, (hey, don't swat me, Mom), so anyway, I'm hoping you haven't seen these before, cause even I forget what's posted, but even if you have, they're some of my favorites, so here we goes ... with just a little bit of 'splaining.  OK?  OK!  Meow!

Oh, I 'member how excited I got on this day, when she did majorly major cleaning
and found every spring toy I ever had from under chairs, tables, in closets, behind the fridge!
What a collection!  Now I could hide (or lose!) 'em all over again!

But then she had to go and twist one spring around
this old ropey thing, boyohboy did I struggle to get it free ...
look at that top picture again ... see that empty space?
That's where it was s'pposed to be!!!

Hiding.  In the closet.  This is my go-to-closet.
For when the big thunders come.
Mine Mommy always keeps the door open an inch or so,
I can put my paw in and all by myself I can open it the rest of the way
and hide in the corner.  We have four walk-in closets and I go in all
of them, but this one is the best cause no light comes on!  And
she doesn't put other stuffs in there so there's always room for me.
It's dark and quiet, and no ~ the shoes don't smell!

Mommy is not too happy 'bout this.  Why?  She's had this very same
Daytimer for 58 years!  Seriously.
Yeah, there's a calendar, address book, phone numbers, all that stuff,
on the cell phone, and the 'puter, and the refrigerator ... but this one is special to her.
Like it means a lot.
I'm just checking to see what's going on today
and of course hear ... "Juney, be careful now ..."
Honestly, I think if the house were afire, she'd grab this before she grabbed me!

This?  Just because I wanted to share one sort of normal, pretty picture of me!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Meow!  I hope you liked all my pick-a-pics.
I just realized how tiring it is to put together a blog ...
to find pictures,
to write words ...
so, please excuse me if I now go take a little nap.
Happy Caturday Saturday

THE END OF ~ JUNE IN JUNE MONTH

Yes, this is my blog and yes, I'm here every month.  But every furry knows that "June in June" is and was a special month for me, and now it is coming to a close.  So mine Mommy said I could do one of my "pick a pic" collections for this last day of the month.  Of course, I'm choosing a wholabunch of my favorite polka dot pictures.  I suppose you've seen some before, maybe not.  But I hope you'll like them just the same!  First, me up top: that's up top of my chair where I like to hang out a lot of the time.  Especially if you-know-who happens to be sitting in my chair, then you'll find me up top!  Then my special pics of me in my chair (after I've shooed you-know-who out of it).  Curled up, napping, you name it.  It's me.  The polka dot kitty.  Happy June ~ thanks for sharing my month with me.

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

Over the holidays when mine Mommy took a little "blog break" for a few days, she was cleaning out a lot of old photo files. I was often peeking over her shoulder.  It reminded me that I had not done one of my own PICK-A-PIC posts in a long time.  So as I watched her delete this picture and that, and move this one or that to its proper folder, I asked if I could "pick" some favorites for my own post ... she said, OK, sure ... so I did, and here they are!

OHMYCAT ~ that one (top left) is from 2008 I think and she was going to delete it, but I asked her about it and she said "way back then a wholabunch of kitties and woofies all reviewed their pawrents at the end of the year, they had really long forms to answer and fill out and post and ... " Well, in my opinion, that was a great idea and it needs to be done again.  What do you think?

Now as for the photo (top right) it is just a reminder to her that is where I belong each and every day.
And I'm sure you ~ in your home, belong there too!

Tenting time.  I still love my paper tents.  The small ones, the big ones, the crinkly ones, even when they get holes in them.
Good for naps, for running through. For hiding in.  Do you tent?

Ass As for the photo on the left, I've no idea why she has never posted it, I think
the back view of me is just as lovely as the front view and besides this is a
certainly a dramatic and interesting pose, right?

I do love my "challenges".  But putting a paper towel roll on my rounder?
She called this a challenge?  Really.  Not.
I did ignore it.  Failure 101.

And those are my Pick-A-Pics for now, I wonder if she will now assign them to the recycle bin?
Thanks for looking at them, and if you happen to comment,
it will show her that I'm just as good at choosing photos for posting as she is!

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

This week I told mine Mommy it had been forever since I'd gotten to do a Pick-A-Pic post, so she said OK, you can do one on the weekend.  So I went through my photo files on our computer, which wasn't easy (so messy). Last time I shared all the "no's and don't's" I have to put up with everyday. This time I decided to share some "a, b, c's" since I've been learning my alphabet lately.

A ~ annoying!  I like to be annoying at times, but she annoys me sometimes, too!
I'll lay on the day bed, and swat and hiss at her when she walks by.
She'll say, "silly June" and hiss back at me, it's kind of fun.
Or when she sits in my polka dot chair to watch a movie at night,
I'll sit up on the top and comb her hairs, she finds it annoying,
specially if my claws are out! Thing is, she didn't ask permission to sit in my chair,
 which I consider quite annoying.

B ~ bother, bothersome, as in "don't bother me".  Not unlike annoying actually.
When I don't want to be bothered by her, by anyone ~
like a stranger who has entered our apartment ~
I go up atop the kitchen cabinets.
No one bothers me there.
However, if I'd like to be "bothered", which does happen on occasion, like I want
cuddles or foot or treats, all I have to do is bother her by putting my butt on her
laptop and before I know it she is so bothered she pays attention.  Works every time!

C ~ cuddles.  Oh yeah, speaking of cuddles.  Much of the time, to her dismay, I am not a lap cat,
not much of a cuddler.  But there are those times ... like right after my breakfast, I jump into
her lap (she is usually already sitting at her computer).  I snuggle there for awhile and tuck my
nose into her armpit!  Why, cause her robe smells like lavender which I like.
And then some days in the afternoon, she lies down on the daybed for a little nap,
which I totally understand, cause I very much like my naps, too.
So, she had her phone when she laid down and she took this photo from her chinny-chin
of my tail by her arm, we were cuddling.  It was nice.  And her sweater smelled like lavender, too.

D ~ daily.  Just a few of those mundane and boring, everyday, daily things
that take place in an average cats life.
Though it is beyond my comprehension why she had to type the word "average" before cat ~
since the cat we are speaking of is ME ...
and all know I am not average!
Pawing on.  I do spend at least some amount of time every day
attempting to retrieve spring toys from under the kitchen cart (and
also the refrigerator).  It is a never ending task.
Usually she ends up getting her broom and sweeping them out for me.

Another daily chore of mine is to always smell her shoes,
when she comes in from being out somewhere.
And believe me, they do not smell of lavender!
Then I advise her as to whether she should put
them in the window so as to "refresh" them.
Not a task I particularly enjoy, but a necessary one.

And of course, a big part of my day is working on our computer.
Here I am looking through some of last years Halloween costumes,
this one of me as Jessie June with my pal Woody.
I have no idea what-or-who I will dress up as for this Halloween.
Maybe my friend Dani will help me?

~ meow ~

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

My Pick-A-Pic selections have often been those mine Mommy isn't interested in showing and sharing and that might hold true for todays as well, but these really have a very different focus.  You see these pictures represent the "NOS and DON'TS" of my life.  I hear a lot more NOS and a lot more DON'TS than any furry should ever have to hear my friends and I'm about to share them with you (how about you share yours with me?)

June, DON'T get on top of the cabinets.  It's greasy-dirty up there and I can't get you down if the fire alarm goes off!
June, DON'T get in the kitchen sink please, with dirty dishes and sharp knives!

June, please DON'T play with the mouse.  It's my mouse, not your toy mouse!
And DON'T mess with the computer either, I see that look in your eyes.

JUNE! DON'T DON'T DON'T chew on the computer and printer and phone charger cords! NO!
But Mom, these are fun. Awww, purrty please. Meow. These are nice 'n' chewy 'n' rubbery and I really like playing with these, you're no fun at all, all I hear is no, no and don't do this and don't do that and I'm just a little curious kitty cat and your things are more interesting than my things and your toys are more fun than my toys, besides what do you think I do when you leave to go grocery shopping or out and about somewhere ... maybe next time, I'll meow, "mom, DON'T go"!

June, DON'T get behind the TV, you'll disturb the antenna settings.

I just wanted to watch my show, you old meanie.
June, DON'T mess with my sneakers, I just put new laces in after you chewed the aglets off the others!

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

My selections today are ones the hu-mom didn't post as she thought they might embarrass me.  But I am not shy ... I'm a cat.  I have high self esteem.  I rule, as all cats do.  Don't like what you see, click the exit button.  Believe me, there's a plethora of other cats out there you can look at.  Anyway, lets proceed ~ oh, but if you do like what you see, feel free to leave a pawsitive comment, it will please me, thank you.

Why be embarrassed about grooming, or those x-rated parts,
we all have them.  Purrsonally speaking all of me is beautiful.

Now I did have a momentary doubt about this photo.
I have been doing daily sit-ups after being told most pool openings
will happen at the end of May.
I do want to look my best in my new polka dot pawkini.
But I may have more work to do on the belly.

Even though she [mine Mommy] may not always agree with me
I do think I have a few fans ...
is this a pun?

WHEN THERE IS:
[ ] disrespect
[ ] lack of treats
[ ] delayed meals
[ ] forgotten brushie time
[ ] forgotten litter box cleaning
[ ] no new toys which should be given weekly per house rules
[ ] forgotten anything else important to the comfort and
care of the primary resident of the home

These pictures represent appropriate behavior by the cat.

Thank you for stopping by today,
June.

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

PS the hu-mom had to add her own comment to June's last photo pick, perhaps all the cat hair (not dust) is the reason for occasional poor reception (?) as I do dust often, said cat is simply a whiner, or it could be that she constantly repositions the little antenna

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE

Where's the remote?  I don't like this show!

Dropped my spring!  Pick it up.  Purrty please!

Now that you're all stretched out on the floor, camera ready to shoot,
if you think I'm going to run through this box, ha, think again!

Waiting for me to do something cute?  It's gonna be a long wait.

PICK-A-PIC by JUNE, for FELINE FRIDAY FUN

Yet again, June pawed and clawed (with newly trimmed nails, thankfully) into our photo files and chosen her own photos for todays Feline Friday.  As this is becoming a regular thing, we're going to call it "Pick-A-Pic by June".  This time though, because she enjoys "challenges", she is challenging those who pause to comment to add a caption to any (or all) photos of your choice.  And maybe include the [numbers] of the picture you are captioning ... OK?  OK!  Let the fun begin . . .

She allowed me to start, and I'm choosing the last one, No. 5,
"only half a cat will fit in half a bag!"
