SEUSS'ed OUT

Comments are off today, and Zoolatry will be taking a break for a day or two.  Yesterday we weren't able to visit most of the amazing Dr Seuss Day posts, so that's what we plan to do over the next few days ~ knowing so many worked hard to create super images and poems and June and I want to see them all!  And of course, thanks to all who took time to visit us ...

I (the Zoolatry Human) went yesterday mid morning for my 2nd Covid vaccine and it totally knocked the red-and-white-striped-socks off me for the rest of the day ... even still this morning, typing this, am wondering about the use of the word "human".  Be that as it may ~ I still know it's important to take your shots and would do it all over again!  So ... having said that, we'll take a break, come visit y'all and be back to this blog, oh, maybe on the weekend ...

Now I like my Red Fox,

don't at all like his socks!

So we're making him new ones, quite proper ones you see!

DR SEUSS DAY ANNOUNCEMENT

First June and I want to thank our furry friends who pawed forwarded and volunteered to be 
sponsors for this years Dr Seuss Day event on Tuesday March 2.  
It would certainly be a ton-o-fun to include everyone!  
That just isn't pawsible tho, so selections have been made ~ read on, please ~ 

June loves her paper strips!  So, onto a plate they went (sorry, her hat fell off!)

She pawed and pawed, licked and chewed.  The papers got wet and wrinkly.  Sigh.  

Eventually, one ... two ... and then, three!

Yes, she chose three.  We'd only planned for two, but three rather messy strips of

paper wound up off to the sides of the plate.  We let them dry out a bit and then,

there were the names.  Our hosts, and hostess for

Dr Seuss Day 2021.

For quite a few years now the pet blogging community has enjoyed celebrating Dr. Seuss Day, and we imagine this year will be no different ~ as we all post poems, pictures and more on Tuesday, March 2.  

In recent years, Zoolatry has designed badges and reminders for the event and we've had great sponsors to help promote it!  Their images are below and we thank them all!

For 2021 we are asking for two volunteers ~ we'd love to have one kitty and one woofie to represent this special and fun day.  All you have to do is email us your interest, zoolatry at gmail dot com ~ no later than Tuesday 2/2 midnight (please don't leave your name here in comments). If there happens to be too many volunteers, June will just have to do a random selection, OK? OK!  She'll draw names out of that big stripey hat that a famous cat wears ~ so let us hear from you.  Volunteers don't have to do anything, but promote the event on their own blogs with the artwork we provide.  Thanks all!
