This is my little sea turtle. I named him CRUSH. Like the little green sea turtle in Finding Nemo.
He told me all 'bout how they lay thousands of their little eggs on the beach and
when they hatch, they run into the sea ~ if you and me and hoomans leave them alone ~ so
please don't disturb them, or step on their little nests, or shine bright lights on them.
And then CRUSH said, "coo-coo-cachoo, they run into the sea and life starts all over again", isn't that wonderful!
I so loves CRUSH
and all his turtle families.
Mine Mommy lived on the Space Coast of Florida for 23 years.
Green turtles, among many other turtles nest on the beaches
there from early March through late October.

Crush is very cute, June. I enjoyed your information too but I have only seen the turtles on the TV. It must be something to see in person. I read the link too.
ReplyDeleteCrush is a cutie, Juney, and mom has been to Florida on the beach where she's seen storm fences surrounding turtle nests so the peeps keep their distance. It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cute toy, June! We hope everyone will leave the turtle eggs alone for a great hatching!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
June, we love that turtles nest all over the beaches!! We just hope all the turtles that hatch out there make it safely to the sea!
ReplyDeleteYour little turtle is adorable. We are all scared of turtles and run the other way when we see one.
ReplyDeleteCrush is a cutie, June. Might there be a bit of catnip inside? 🙃
ReplyDeleteWe have painted turtles and snapping turtles here, though I've missed seeing any this year, haven't been walking in areas where they live. Poaching turtle eggs is a problem here, though, in spite of measures put into place to prevent it. 🐢
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the baby sea turtles. Cute photos of June and Crush. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Crush is a wonderful friend. I love turtles too.
ReplyDeleteOur babies do get on the very top of the cat tree, but mostly they are on the one below the top.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to June. ♥
June and Crush hello dear ones.
ReplyDeleteLast year at Christmas our daughter and son in law gave us a behind the scenes tour of Pine Knoll Shores aquarium.
We saw lots of sea turtles that were in their rehab center and all doing so well. Amazing journey they take as wee ones
Hugs cecilia
What a smart friend you have in Crush. Sea turtles are one of Mama's most favorite sea creatures....they are so mesmerizing to watch swim around in the ocean!

You look so cute playing with your turtle, June. Is there some nip inside him?
ReplyDeleteWe love all turtles but Lynn has never been on a beach with sea turtles. How exciting June.
ReplyDeleteJune, we have a Crush look alike here at Eastside Cats, and it's well-liked here too.
ReplyDeleteHi June, your Crush is adorable!! And wow, sea turtles are so beautiful! Juno and mom
ReplyDeleteMom saw some hatchlings for the first time last year!
ReplyDeleteCrush is truly gorgeous. We really need to start looking after nature and all the creatures. You are also very cute June :-D
ReplyDeleteCoo Coo Cachoo to you and Crush, June. Mom saw a story recently on the news about the hundreds of babies that just hatched somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
I love watching videos when the babies hatch and run into the water! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteWe watched some rehab turtle releases on the news this morning sweet June!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun toy. XO
ReplyDeleteyou do remind me of a walrus
ReplyDeleteyou do remind me of a walrus
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Our Dada read this and asked where Mrs. Robinson was! We have no idea what he is talking about, as usual."
ReplyDeleteWhen we used to visit Florida each year at the beach, we were very careful of the nests and turned lights out at night so as not to confuse the babies if they happened to hatch while we were there. It's only right to try to protect them.
ReplyDeleteA while back,I saw a lot of baby snappers trying to get to the nearby creek....they were kind of cute, though as grown up snappers not so much, LOL! We once saw a huge snapper, looked like a dinosaur! We gave it wide berth...and another time we had a snapper trying to get through our fence...so I carefully got it in the garden cart, (and she was NOT happy...), and brought her to the creek behind our home, in the next property. The peeps there were OK with our little bit of trespassing to rescue the out of place snapping turtle.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we see painted turtles on the road, so we will stop and get them to the side they were headed for.
I like your little sea turtle, Miss June, Crush, that's a sweet name! Let's hope that their eggs will hatch and the younglings will survive their run to the sea!
Awwdorable.... you really have a crush on Crush, haven't you, June😎We love nature and your coo-coo-cachoo story. Wished we had turtles here too🐢Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to you and your mommy too🐾😽💞
