I open the closet.
What do I see?
June in her Lollimeow,
looking up at me!
It's senior day at Harris Teeter, time to do our marketing.
What are you doing in your Lollimeow? You HATE being in there ...
I kinda thought I'd make it easier for you this time.
Don't I have to go to that awful dreadful terrible
I-Don't-Want-To-Go-To-The-Vet place today?
Oh, thank you Juney dear, but that day is next week,
you can get in Lollimeow next week and if you do it all on your own
like a really good kitty girl it will be easier for me ...
and I won't have to give you those pills that make you
all loopy-dopey-silly all day long!
Now that is a bit of an incentive, I do not like the way those things make
me all loopy-dopey-silly, however ... little does she know that the minute
she's out the door, off to market, I'm outta this thing,
never to set paw in here again for the rest of my nine lives!
Your one free-pass opportunity missed mine Mommy.
So I'm thankful. But she is purrably is not.

Ha, love the photo! Of course you won't go in there on your own next week, June, why make it easier for your human? 😁
ReplyDeleteI can't help but laugh because I'm sure come next week you'll never get June near that carry bag, lol.
ReplyDeleteTo Kea and Lynn ~ of course she won't! Even with the gabapentin, I'll be lucky if she doesn't go to the top of the kitchen cabinets, the one place I cannot get her. I know she "senses" my stress well ahead of time and that's part of the problem. The Lollimeow is now sitting out in her play area just to get her used to it ahead of time ... with an occasional treat or toy tossed inside for her to grab-and-run!
DeleteGramma has one of those for her kitty too. Sometimes her cat goes in there for a nap, but she never wants to leave the house again either.
ReplyDeleteIt was good of you to go in there even if you didn't time it right, June. Or maybe you did time it right!
ReplyDeleteJune, maybe you'll forget about this, as a week is a long time!
ReplyDeleteOh my June, opportunity missed! Well, you did give her a chance ...
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a pretty nice ride sweet June, hop on in next week and make it easier for you and Mom! Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteOh June you look so cute in your cozy place ~ glad you don't have to go to the Vets today ~ hugs,

Haha brilliant. Yup in this week and she won't be next week! I like the look of those carriers. I have the usually type for my cats!! I usually put a tshirt I have had on in the carrier so it has my scent in it. Cats really don't like the vets do they, especially when there are loud barking excited dogs there!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute sitting in your carrier, June. I hope you don't give your mom too much trouble when she needs to take you to the vet next week.
ReplyDeleteMOL good thinking to get in that today and NOT next week!
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "I would get in the cat carrier, too, if it meant I didn't actually have to go anywhere ..."
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWow, you are ready really early to go to the vet, cute photo. Take care, enjoy your day!
See, your Mom knows you just *might* get in there on your own...but of course not on THE day you really need to! Yup, kitties have us all figured out....
ReplyDeleteJuney tell your Mommy I was at HT by 7:30am this morning.
ReplyDeleteI hope she got some good deals like I did
Hugs and yes very thankful not vet today
Hugs cecilia
Oh June, we know those vet trips can be stressful. But just think of it as an exciting adventure. Maybe if you are really a good girl and cooperate, your Mommy will get you some new springs.

It does look like an easy ride, Juney. The vet really isn't so bad.
ReplyDeleteYour mom had her chance, right?
ReplyDeleteAwww...such a cutie. xO
ReplyDeleteI have one of those but I out grew it
ReplyDeleteAh, well, at least it happened once, and who knows, sometimes strange stuff happens and people or kitties change their minds.
ReplyDeleteXena: Junie, did you tell your Mom you wanted to go to Harris Teeter with her?
ReplyDeleteLucy: June is'nt old enought to go on Senior Day.
Oops, proving once again, timing is everything. ;)
