It's Flag Day.
This is the one and only thing that is important today.
Author's Note: By the way, here in the DMV, we do have drought conditions.
For any not familiar with that acronym: D [DC], M [Maryland], and V [Virginia].
So we could use rain today. Heavy rain actually.
What would be best, a nice, warm dry day and then
some of those super-duper storms in the evening, you know.
I really don't like having to see little June hide in the closet,
since she's a-scared of all that thunder,
but maybe, this day could be an exception.
Yeah, that'd work well.

What a gorgeous picture of June! And Happy Flag Day to all! We have a sort of drought here too and the predicted storms keep fizzling out.
ReplyDeleteJune looks absolutely beautiful. As for the storms - best after midnight, We think (mol) so Mummy can sleep through them - and Us too, if it comes to that...
ReplyDeleteWe hope you get your rain - the quiet and soaking kind. We knew that you would know the difference in our photos as you are the one that mentioned lotion, Juney. Mom did lots of homework and sadly, there was no lotion that would fix my problem but she did learn all about fancy carding knives! Happy Flag Day!
ReplyDeleteRainy evenings and nights and warm dry days sound perfect. Less in the way of thunder and more gentle harmonics of living nature: birds and bees etc.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful and hopefully cloud burst evenings and week

I hope you get some rain and you feel safe in hiding sweet June!
ReplyDeleteHappy Flag Day, June! My paws are crossed for a well timed thunder storm tonight...not to scare you but you know why.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are in the DMV and not near New York...it's gotta be crazy there!
ReplyDeleteJune I am not a fan of tstorms. Angel Madi would run to the foyer half bath which was an interior room
ReplyDeletewedge herself between the wall and the side of the Loo...wish I could have joined her there.
Hugs cecilia
PS very terrible drought up and down east coast
