FLAG DAY

It's Flag Day.
This is the one and only thing that is important today.

Author's Note:  By the way, here in the DMV, we do have drought conditions.
For any not familiar with that acronym: D [DC], M [Maryland], and V [Virginia].
So we could use rain today.  Heavy rain actually.
What would be best, a nice, warm dry day and then
some of those super-duper storms in the evening, you know.
I really don't like having to see little June hide in the closet,
since she's a-scared of all that thunder,
but maybe, this day could be an exception.
Yeah, that'd work well.

  1. What a gorgeous picture of June! And Happy Flag Day to all! We have a sort of drought here too and the predicted storms keep fizzling out.

  2. June looks absolutely beautiful. As for the storms - best after midnight, We think (mol) so Mummy can sleep through them - and Us too, if it comes to that...

  3. We hope you get your rain - the quiet and soaking kind. We knew that you would know the difference in our photos as you are the one that mentioned lotion, Juney. Mom did lots of homework and sadly, there was no lotion that would fix my problem but she did learn all about fancy carding knives! Happy Flag Day!

  4. Rainy evenings and nights and warm dry days sound perfect. Less in the way of thunder and more gentle harmonics of living nature: birds and bees etc.
Have a wonderful and hopefully cloud burst evenings and week

  8. June I am not a fan of tstorms. Angel Madi would run to the foyer half bath which was an interior room
wedge herself between the wall and the side of the Loo...wish I could have joined her there.
    Hugs cecilia
PS very terrible drought up and down east coast

  10. Happy Flag Day, June and June's Mom. Hope you do get some good soaking rain, a little thunder, a little wind. A good old thunderstorm for this evening would be good up your way. Florida is in drought and the sea breeze is keeping the storms we need to the interior of Florida... missing the coastal areas. Stay safe in your closet, June♥

  11. I would like a big thunderstorm too, especially in the DMV area.
Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.

  12. Happy Flag Day! It is definitely a significant day to recognize, but I am really keeping my fingers crossed that you get that much-needed evening downpour to help break the drought conditions down in the DMV. It is always a tough balancing act when you want the heavy rain for the land but know it means poor little June will be hiding out in the closet from the loud thunder. Hopefully, if those super-duper storms do roll through tonight, they pass by quickly and safely so the ground gets soaked and June can come right back out to enjoy a refreshed evening!

  14. #1 says that if you really need rain, storms are not the best thing. It's better to have constant, steady rain that will really soak into the ground, and will be better for you, June!
